NSDC conducted a PAN India Drive in 2025 and many dentists actively participated.

In Jan 2026, NSDC had a wonderful felicitation program where sports dentists and NSDC Ambassadors from across the country were honored for their dedicated efforts in reaching athletes at the grassroots level and spreading awareness about the importance of oral health in sports. The members were felicitated with a trophy in presence of senior dignitaries in the sports medicine and dentistry circle. The audience was given a presentation and video about NSDC activities since inception. Everyone was impressed and appreciated NSDC in taking efforts and steps in the directions of improving the oral health of athletes across the country.

Along with sports dentists, Associate Members of NSDC, who are other healthcare professionals contributing to the cause for athlete healthcare, were also felicitated at the event. This felicitation reflects NSDC’s larger mission — integrating Sports Dentistry into Sports Sciences and Sports Medicine. Consistent outreach, nationwide penetration, and uniform standards of oral care are essential to creating long-term impact in athlete health and performance. Every small aspect of an athlete’s well-being matters, and oral health plays a vital role in overall performance. This celebration not only recognizes the incredible work done by Sports Dentists in India, but also inspires more dental professionals to step into the field of Sports Dentistry and strengthen this growing ecosystem.
