The National Sports Dentistry Committee (NSDC) was proud to be the Oral Health Partner for one of Pune’s popular cricket leagues — the AK Premiere League, held in the heart of the city during the month of Feb & March 2026. Over the course of the tournament, the NSDC team conducted dental screenings for participating athletes, while also creating awareness about the importance of oral health, dental injuries, and the use of mouthguards in sports.

Young cricketers, along with their parents and coaches, were sensitized about common dental problems and how untreated oral health issues can interfere with an athlete’s routine training, performance, and overall wellbeing. It was truly a satisfying experience to connect with grassroots athletes — the future champions of our country — and contribute towards their health, safety, and performance through Sports Dentistry. Initiatives like these continue to strengthen NSDC’s mission of integrating oral health into sports sciences and athlete care across India.
