he National Sports Dentistry Committee continues its mission of spreading awareness and strengthening knowledge in the field of Sports Dentistry across the dental community. NSDC conducted back-to-back Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programs at 3 different places from Feb to April 2026:

• Karnavati School of Dentistry, Ahmedabad
• Yogita Dental College, Khed
• Indian Dental Association (IDA) – Badlapur Branch

These sessions focused on introducing dental professionals to the growing field of Sports Dentistry, highlighting the importance of oral health in athlete performance, dental trauma management, and the role of dentists in sports medicine. A lot of dentists. Esp. the younger generation of dentists, have a lot of curiosity and interest in sports dentistry.

Thus, such educational initiatives aim to encourage more dentists to explore Sports Dentistry, contribute to athlete health, and become part of the growing NSDC network working towards integrating oral healthcare into sports sciences in India. Dental colleges, IDA branches, sports academies, and organisations can connect with NSDC to organise similar educational sessions and awareness programs.
