NSDC Volunteer Certificate Program for Coaches & Performance Support Staff in Collaboration with Maharashtra Education Society on 12th June 2025
NSDC EC team conducted a 1.5-2 hours detail program for coaches and performance support staff who had registered for a residential program with MES on 12th June 2025. The main focus of the topics was athlete dental care, dental injury prevention and management, how sports dentistry has evolved in the world and now in India, how sports dentistry has to be integrated with sports science and during healthcare routines and screenings of athletes. They were also additionally shown correct oral hygiene techniques, shown various samples of mouthguards, what type of athlete care and sports dental first aid kit must the athletes and the coaches must have with them during matches and tournaments. They had many queries which were discussed and the team tried to keep the session interactive. In the end, certificates were given to the coaches. The organizers were very happy with the program and this has set the stage for many more future programs to be planned across the city with MES.
