NSDC Part of 2 Big Sports Medicine and Sports Science Events – March & April 2025

NSDC was part of a landmark event in Sports Medicine – Conference of the Indian Association of Sports Medicine in Navi Mumbai on 1st & 2nd March 2025. NSDC got an incredible opportunity to connect with leaders in the field of sports medicine and communicate to them the importance of sports dentistry through networking. Dr Sneha, Director of NSDC, met stalwarts like Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, the Chief Medical Officer of the Paris 2024 Olympics, Dr. Sachin Tapasvi, NSDC Sports Science Advisory Board Member and President-Elect of IASM. She met and had engaging discussions with Dr. Dobson Dominic, President of ISSEM and his team members. In another unique event that NSDC took part Conference on AI and Technology in Sports in Pune on 4-5th April 2025. Dr Sneha got the chance to be one amongst the amazing line of speakers who were going to speak on use of AI and digital technology in sports science, sports medicine, smart wearables, performance analysis, etc. Dr Sneha spoke on how AI and digital dental technology is helping upgrade sports dentistry through patient management softwares, AI reports for dental x-rays, smart mouthguards, intra-oral scanners and complete digital workflow for making both mouthguards and restorative crowns/bridges for athlete patients. She gave a video demo of taking an intra-oral scan of an athlete which is then sent through an email to the concerned lab where is fabricated with complete accuracy. Both these programs were helped NSDC members learn a lot of about sports medicine and science in its totality.
